Survey Hardware

To perform site surveys, Hamina Onsite needs access to site survey hardware. This can be either an Oscium Nomad, or a WLAN Pi.

Additionally, it is possible to use Hamina Onsite for macOS without external survey hardware; a MacBook Wi-Fi adapter can be used for measurements, directly. The downside is that one adapter takes a very long time to sweep through all of the Wi-Fi channels, so measurements take considerably longer and are spaced further apart while walking. Because of this, we only recommend surveying with a MacBook Wi-Fi adapter when absolutely necessary.
