# Note

The **Note** tool in Hamina Network Planner can be used to place notes on the map. To place a note, point to the **Note** group, and select the **Note** tool.

Click on the map to place the note. Once the note is placed on the map, you can edit the text, change the color, change the icon, or add images to the note.

Notes will appear in Hamina Onsite (although they will lack custom colors and icons), and can be used for marking items and locations for reference during site surveys.

Notes can also appear in reports, and can be used for a variety of reporting purposes, such as denoting rooms that couldn't be accessed during a site survey.
